Our Core Services

We coordinate three essential categories of equine care — the services most often delayed or skipped when finances are tight, and the ones that matter most to a horse's health and quality of life.

Service 1 of 3

Veterinary Care

Urgent medical attention when it can't wait

From emergency colic calls to routine wellness exams, vaccinations, and specialist referrals, we coordinate veterinary visits for horses whose owners cannot cover the full cost of care. We work directly with licensed equine veterinarians across our service area to arrange appointments and assist with fees.

  • Emergency and urgent care coordination
  • Routine wellness exams and vaccinations
  • Specialist referrals and second opinions
  • Post-surgical and recovery support

Service 2 of 3

Equine Dental

Proper nutrition starts with healthy teeth

Equine dental care is one of the most overlooked aspects of horse health. Horses need their teeth floated (filed) regularly to prevent sharp points, uneven wear, and painful ulcers that make eating difficult. We coordinate dental appointments with certified equine dentists and veterinary dental specialists.

  • Annual and bi-annual dental floating
  • Wolf tooth extraction
  • Bit seat work for performance horses
  • Senior horse dental management

Service 3 of 3

Farrier Services

Sound hooves, sound horse

Regular hoof care is non-negotiable for a horse's soundness and comfort. Without proper trimming and shoeing every 6–8 weeks, horses develop painful hoof imbalances, cracks, and lameness. We coordinate farrier visits and assist with costs for owners who are struggling to maintain this essential schedule.

  • Regular trims and resets (every 6–8 weeks)
  • Therapeutic and corrective shoeing
  • Barefoot trimming and hoof rehabilitation
  • Emergency hoof crack and abscess care

Who We Help

Our services are available to horse owners in Eastern Idaho, Western Wyoming, Southwestern Montana, and Northern Utah who meet the following criteria. We evaluate each application individually and with compassion — we understand that financial hardship can happen to anyone.

Geographic Area

Your horse must be located within a reasonable service area.  We will make every attempt to connect a caregiver that has been vetted and can travel to the horse in need, if the owner is unable to transport.

Financial Need

Applicants must demonstrate financial hardship that prevents them from covering the full cost of necessary equine care.

Urgent or Preventive Need

Priority is given to horses with urgent medical needs, though we also assist with preventive care to avoid emergencies.

Owner Commitment

We ask that owners remain committed to their horse's ongoing care and work with us to develop a sustainable care plan.

Not sure if you qualify? Apply anyway — we review every application and will do our best to connect you with resources even if we can't fully fund your request.
