Our Story

Born from a Love of Horses and a Heart for Community

19:11 Equine Connections was founded on a simple belief: no horse should go without care because its owner can't afford it.

How It All Started

19:11 Equine Connections was born in Alaska but grew in the high desert of Eastern Idaho, where horses are more than livestock — they're partners, companions, and family. Our founder watched neighbors struggle to keep up with the cost of routine equine care: a farrier visit here, a dental float there, an emergency vet call that wiped out a month's savings.

The name comes from Proverbs 19:11 — "A person's wisdom yields patience; it is to one's glory to overlook an offense." It's a reminder that compassion, patience, and grace are at the heart of everything we do — for the horses we serve and the families who love them.

What started as informal neighbor-helping-neighbor coordination quickly grew into something larger. Word spread across Eastern Idaho, Western Wyoming, Southwestern Montana, and Northern Utah. Families reached out. Veterinarians and farriers offered discounted rates. Donors stepped up. And 19:11 Equine Connections became a real organization with a real mission.

Our Mission

To bridge the gap between horse owners facing financial hardship and the professional equine services their animals urgently need — coordinating care with compassion, dignity, and respect for every horse and family we serve.

Compassion First

We approach every application with empathy. Financial hardship can happen to anyone, and we never judge the circumstances that bring a family to us.

Horse Welfare Above All

Every decision we make is guided by what is best for the horse. We advocate for the animal's health, comfort, and quality of life.

Community Rooted

We are neighbors helping neighbors. Our volunteers, donors, and service providers are all part of the same rural communities we serve.

Transparency & Trust

Every dollar donated goes directly toward equine care coordination. We operate with full financial transparency and accountability to our donors and community.

The People Behind the Mission

19:11 Equine Connections is entirely volunteer-run. Every person on our team donates their time, skills, and passion because they believe horses deserve better — and so do the families who love them.
